NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream dbus-x11 package and not the dbus-x11 package as distributed by Oracle. See How to fix? for Oracle:5 relevant fixed versions and status.

The dbus_signature_validate function in the D-bus library (libdbus) before 1.2.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application abort) via a message containing a malformed signature, which triggers a failed assertion error.
