CWE-787  (opens in a new tab)

Upgrade Oracle:5 exim to version 0:4.63-5.el5_5.2 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream exim package and not the exim package as distributed by Oracle. See How to fix? for Oracle:5 relevant fixed versions and status.

Heap-based buffer overflow in the string_vformat function in string.c in Exim before 4.70 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via an SMTP session that includes two MAIL commands in conjunction with a large message containing crafted headers, leading to improper rejection logging.
