NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream dtrace-modules-3.8.13-118.21.4.el6uek package and not the dtrace-modules-3.8.13-118.21.4.el6uek package as distributed by Oracle. See How to fix? for Oracle:6 relevant fixed versions and status.

The snd_timer_interrupt function in sound/core/timer.c in the Linux kernel before 4.4.1 does not properly maintain a certain linked list, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (race condition and system crash) via a crafted ioctl call.
