NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream mlnx_en-2.6.32-300.21.1.el6uekdebug package and not the mlnx_en-2.6.32-300.21.1.el6uekdebug package as distributed by Oracle. See How to fix? for Oracle:6 relevant fixed versions and status.

The I/O implementation for block devices in the Linux kernel before 2.6.33 does not properly handle the CLONE_IO feature, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (I/O instability) by starting multiple processes that share an I/O context.
