NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream samba-libs package and not the samba-libs package as distributed by Oracle. See How to fix? for Oracle:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

Samba 4.x before 4.2.11, 4.3.x before 4.3.8, and 4.4.x before 4.4.2 does not verify X.509 certificates from TLS servers, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof LDAPS and HTTPS servers and obtain sensitive information via a crafted certificate.
