CWE-476  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Oracle:7 tigervnc-server to version 0:1.3.1-3.el7 or higher.
This issue was patched in ELSA-2015-2233.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream tigervnc-server package and not the tigervnc-server package as distributed by Oracle. See How to fix? for Oracle:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

XRegion in TigerVNC allows remote VNC servers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) by leveraging failure to check a malloc return value, a similar issue to CVE-2014-6052.
