How to fix?

Upgrade Oracle:8 python3-podman to version 0:4.9.0-3.module+el8.10.0+90449+0b7c8529 or higher.
This issue was patched in ELSA-2025-1372.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream python3-podman package and not the python3-podman package as distributed by Oracle. See How to fix? for Oracle:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

A vulnerability was found in podman build and buildah. This issue occurs in a container breakout by using --jobs=2 and a race condition when building a malicious Containerfile. SELinux might mitigate it, but even with SELinux on, it still allows the enumeration of files and directories on the host.
