How to fix?

Upgrade Oracle:9 bpftrace to version 0:0.21.1-1.el9 or higher.
This issue was patched in ELSA-2024-9188.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream bpftrace package and not the bpftrace package as distributed by Oracle. See How to fix? for Oracle:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

If kernel headers need to be extracted, bpftrace will attempt to load them from a temporary directory. An unprivileged attacker could use this to force bcc to load compromised linux headers. Linux distributions which provide kernel headers by default are not affected by default.
