Upgrade Oracle:9 rsync to version 0:3.2.5-3.el9 or higher.
This issue was patched in ELSA-2025-7050.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream rsync package and not the rsync package as distributed by Oracle. See How to fix? for Oracle:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

A flaw was found in rsync. When using the --safe-links option, the rsync client fails to properly verify if a symbolic link destination sent from the server contains another symbolic link within it. This results in a path traversal vulnerability, which may lead to arbitrary file write outside the desired directory.
