CWE-88  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:10 ansible-test to version 1:2.16.16-2.el10_2.1 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2026:57148.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream ansible-test package and not the ansible-test package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:10 relevant fixed versions and status.

A flaw was found in ansible-core. The ansible-galaxy role install command processes dependency specifications from a role's meta/requirements.yml file. Due to improper neutralization of argument delimiters, a malicious role author can inject arbitrary git configuration flags through the src field. This allows arbitrary code execution on the machine of a user who installs the role via ansible-galaxy role install.
