CWE-122  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

There is no fixed version for RHEL:10 libyaml.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libyaml package and not the libyaml package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:10 relevant fixed versions and status.

The yaml_parser_scan_tag_uri function in scanner.c in LibYAML before 0.1.5 performs an incorrect cast, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via crafted tags in a YAML document, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.
