NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream pcp-libs-debuginfo package and not the pcp-libs-debuginfo package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:10 relevant fixed versions and status.

An unauthenticated remote attacker can bypass access controls by sending crafted requests to the PCP pmproxy /store endpoint. This allows the attacker to overwrite any PMDA metric, leading to arbitrary code execution and system takeover.
