CVE-2026-8643  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-22  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:10 python3.14-pip to version 0:25.2-3.el10_2.5 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2026:36193.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream python3.14-pip package and not the python3.14-pip package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:10 relevant fixed versions and status.

pip would treat console_scripts and gui_scripts as paths instead of file names without sanitizing the resolved absolute path to the installation directory, leading to entry points being installed outside the installation directory.
