NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream rh-ruby23-ruby-irb package and not the rh-ruby23-ruby-irb package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:10 relevant fixed versions and status.

An issue was discovered in RubyGems 2.6 and later through 3.0.2. Since Gem::CommandManager#run calls alert_error without escaping, escape sequence injection is possible. (There are many ways to cause an error.)
