CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:6 firefox to version 0:3.6.24-3.el6_1 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2011:1437.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream firefox package and not the firefox package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:6 relevant fixed versions and status.

The JSSubScriptLoader in Mozilla Firefox before 3.6.24 and Thunderbird before 3.1.6 does not properly handle XPCNativeWrappers during calls to the loadSubScript method in an add-on, which makes it easier for remote attackers to gain privileges via a crafted web site that leverages certain unwrapping behavior, a related issue to CVE-2011-3004.
