CWE-200  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:6 libcurl to version 0:7.19.7-36.el6_4 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2013:0771.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libcurl package and not the libcurl package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:6 relevant fixed versions and status.

The tailMatch function in cookie.c in cURL and libcurl before 7.30.0 does not properly match the path domain when sending cookies, which allows remote attackers to steal cookies via a matching suffix in the domain of a URL.
