CVE-2015-5352  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-264  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:6 openssh to version 0:5.3p1-117.el6 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2016:0741.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream openssh package and not the openssh package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:6 relevant fixed versions and status.

The x11_open_helper function in channels.c in ssh in OpenSSH before 6.9, when ForwardX11Trusted mode is not used, lacks a check of the refusal deadline for X connections, which makes it easier for remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions via a connection outside of the permitted time window.
