CVE-2013-1667  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-399  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:6 perl-version to version 3:0.77-130.el6_4 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2013:0685.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream perl-version package and not the perl-version package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:6 relevant fixed versions and status.

The rehash mechanism in Perl 5.8.2 through 5.16.x allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption and crash) via a crafted hash key.
