CWE-377  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:6 python-jinja2 to version 0:2.2.1-2.el6_5 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2014:0747.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream python-jinja2 package and not the python-jinja2 package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:6 relevant fixed versions and status.

The default configuration for bccache.FileSystemBytecodeCache in Jinja2 before 2.7.2 does not properly create temporary files, which allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted .cache file with a name starting with _jinja2 in /tmp.
