NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream w3m-img package and not the w3m-img package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:6 relevant fixed versions and status.

The HTMLtagproc1 function in file.c in w3m before 0.5.3+git20161009 does not properly initialize values, which allows remote attackers to crash the application via a crafted html file, related to <dd> tags.
