CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:7 docker to version 0:1.3.2-4.el7 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHBA-2014:1977.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream docker package and not the docker package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

Docker before 1.3.3 does not properly validate image IDs, which allows remote attackers to conduct path traversal attacks and spoof repositories via a crafted image in a (1) "docker load" operation or (2) "registry communications."
