How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:7 firefox to version 0:115.9.1-1.el7_9 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2024:1486.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream firefox package and not the firefox package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

An attacker was able to inject an event handler into a privileged object that would allow arbitrary JavaScript execution in the parent process. Note: This vulnerability affects Desktop Firefox only, it does not affect mobile versions of Firefox. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 124.0.1 and Firefox ESR < 115.9.1.
