NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream fontconfig-devel-doc package and not the fontconfig-devel-doc package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

fontconfig before 2.12.1 does not validate offsets, which allows local users to trigger arbitrary free calls and consequently conduct double free attacks and execute arbitrary code via a crafted cache file.
