NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream glibc-devel package and not the glibc-devel package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

The wordexp function in GNU C Library (aka glibc) 2.21 does not enforce the WRDE_NOCMD flag, which allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary commands, as demonstrated by input containing "$((...))".
