Upgrade RHEL:7 glusterfs-geo-replication to version 0:3.12.2-18.el7rhgs or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2018:2607.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream glusterfs-geo-replication package and not the glusterfs-geo-replication package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

It was found that the "mknod" call derived from mknod(2) can create files pointing to devices on a glusterfs server node. An authenticated attacker could use this to create an arbitrary device and read data from any device attached to the glusterfs server node.
