NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream gstreamer-plugins-bad-free-devel package and not the gstreamer-plugins-bad-free-devel package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

The vmnc decoder in the gstreamer does not initialize the render canvas, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information as demonstrated by thumbnailing a simple 1 frame vmnc movie that does not draw to the allocated render canvas.
