CVE-2016-0787  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-704  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:7 libssh2 to version 0:1.4.3-10.el7_2.1 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2016:0428.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libssh2 package and not the libssh2 package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

The diffie_hellman_sha256 function in kex.c in libssh2 before 1.7.0 improperly truncates secrets to 128 or 256 bits, which makes it easier for man-in-the-middle attackers to decrypt or intercept SSH sessions via unspecified vectors, aka a "bits/bytes confusion bug."
