CWE-250  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:7 net-snmp-devel to version 1:5.7.2-49.el7_9.1 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2020:5350.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream net-snmp-devel package and not the net-snmp-devel package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

Net-SNMP through 5.8 has Improper Privilege Management because SNMP WRITE access to the EXTEND MIB provides the ability to run arbitrary commands as root.
