CWE-125  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:7 poppler-qt to version 0:0.26.5-38.el7 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2019:2022.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream poppler-qt package and not the poppler-qt package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

In Poppler 0.73.0, a heap-based buffer over-read (due to an integer signedness error in the XRef::getEntry function in XRef.cc) allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted PDF document, as demonstrated by pdftocairo.
