CWE-88  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

This issue was patched in RHSA-2019:1429.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream rubygem-openssl package and not the rubygem-openssl package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

An issue was discovered in RubyGems 2.6 and later through 3.0.2. The gem owner command outputs the contents of the API response directly to stdout. Therefore, if the response is crafted, escape sequence injection may occur.
