NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream spice-server-devel package and not the spice-server-devel package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

The smartcard interaction in SPICE allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (QEMU-KVM process crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via vectors related to connecting to a guest VM, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.
