CWE-287  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:8 booth-test to version 0:1.0-199.1.ac1d34c.git.el8_6.1 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2022:6439.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream booth-test package and not the booth-test package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

The authfile directive in the booth config file is ignored, preventing use of authentication in communications from node to node. As a result, nodes that do not have the correct authentication key are not prevented from communicating with other nodes in the cluster.
