NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream compat-libtiff3 package and not the compat-libtiff3 package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

A segment fault (SEGV) flaw was found in libtiff that could be triggered by passing a crafted tiff file to the TIFFReadRGBATileExt() API. This flaw allows a remote attacker to cause a heap-buffer overflow, leading to a denial of service.
