CWE-674  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:8 libproxy-devel to version 0:0.4.15-5.4.el8_8 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2024:6205.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libproxy-devel package and not the libproxy-devel package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

url::recvline in url.cpp in libproxy 0.4.x through 0.4.15 allows a remote HTTP server to trigger uncontrolled recursion via a response composed of an infinite stream that lacks a newline character. This leads to stack exhaustion.
