How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:8 libreswan to version 0:4.4-4.el8_5 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2022:0199.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libreswan package and not the libreswan package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

Libreswan 4.2 through 4.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and daemon crash) via a crafted IKEv1 packet because pluto/ikev1.c wrongly expects that a state object exists. This is fixed in 4.6.
