CWE-78  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:8 machine-config-daemon to version 0:4.2.20-202002170402.git.1.a83336a.el8 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHBA-2020:0522.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream machine-config-daemon package and not the machine-config-daemon package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

Jenkins Git Client Plugin 2.8.4 and earlier and 3.0.0-rc did not properly restrict values passed as URL argument to an invocation of 'git ls-remote', resulting in OS command injection.
