NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream mariadb:10.5/mariadb-server-utils package and not the mariadb:10.5/mariadb-server-utils package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

In MariaDB before 10.9.2, compress_write in extra/mariabackup/ds_compress.cc does not release data_mutex upon a stream write failure, which allows local users to trigger a deadlock.
