NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream mutt package and not the mutt package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

In mutt and neomutt the In-Reply-To email header field is not protected by cryptographic signing which allows an attacker to reuse an unencrypted but signed email message to impersonate the original sender.
