CWE-79  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:8 openshift-clients to version 0:4.14.0-202311031050.p0.g9b1e0d2.assembly.stream.el8 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2023:6840.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream openshift-clients package and not the openshift-clients package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

The html/template package does not properly handle HTML-like "" comment tokens, nor hashbang "#!" comment tokens, in <script> contexts. This may cause the template parser to improperly interpret the contents of <script> contexts, causing actions to be improperly escaped. This may be leveraged to perform an XSS attack.
