CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:8 openshift-hyperkube to version 0:4.12.0-202403042037.p0.g9946c63.assembly.stream.el8 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2024:1267.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream openshift-hyperkube package and not the openshift-hyperkube package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

A flaw was found in kube-controller-manager. This issue occurs when the initial application of a HPA config YAML lacking a .spec.behavior.scaleUp block causes a denial of service due to KCM pods going into restart churn.
