CVE-2023-44487  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-400  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:8 varnish:6/varnish-modules to version 0:0.15.0-4.module+el8+2481+4078e9d2 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2023:6022.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream varnish:6/varnish-modules package and not the varnish:6/varnish-modules package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

The HTTP/2 protocol allows a denial of service (server resource consumption) because request cancellation can reset many streams quickly, as exploited in the wild in August through October 2023.
