CWE-252  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:8 virt-devel:rhel/python3-libnbd to version 0:1.6.0-5.module+el8.6.0+14480+c0a3aa0f or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2022:1759.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream virt-devel:rhel/python3-libnbd package and not the virt-devel:rhel/python3-libnbd package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

A flaw was found in the copying tool nbdcopy of libnbd. When performing multi-threaded copies using asynchronous nbd calls, nbdcopy was blindly treating the completion of an asynchronous command as successful, rather than checking the *error parameter. This could result in the silent creation of a corrupted destination image.
