CWE-776  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

There is no fixed version for RHEL:9 kerby-asn1.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream kerby-asn1 package and not the kerby-asn1 package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

By sending a deeply nested ASN1 structure to a Apache Kerby client or service, it's possible to trigger a StackOverFlow Exception which can lead to denial of service issues. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.1.2, which fixes this issue.
