CWE-497  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:9 libsoup-devel to version 0:2.72.0-8.el9_4.4 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2025:4440.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libsoup-devel package and not the libsoup-devel package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

A flaw was found in libsoup. When libsoup clients encounter an HTTP redirect, they mistakenly send the HTTP Authorization header to the new host that the redirection points to. This allows the new host to impersonate the user to the original host that issued the redirect.
