How to fix?

Upgrade RHEL:9 mariadb to version 3:10.5.22-1.el9_2 or higher.
This issue was patched in RHSA-2023:5684.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream mariadb package and not the mariadb package as distributed by RHEL. See How to fix? for RHEL:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

In MariaDB before 10.9.2, compress_write in extra/mariabackup/ds_compress.cc does not release data_mutex upon a stream write failure, which allows local users to trigger a deadlock.
