NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream kernel-debug-modules-extra package and not the kernel-debug-modules-extra package as distributed by Rocky-Linux. See How to fix? for Rocky-Linux:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.16.11. The mixed IPID assignment method with the hash-based IPID assignment policy allows an off-path attacker to inject data into a victim's TCP session or terminate that session.
