CVE-2016-0787  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-200  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Ubuntu:12.04 libssh2 to version 1.2.8-2ubuntu0.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libssh2 package and not the libssh2 package as distributed by Ubuntu. See How to fix? for Ubuntu:12.04 relevant fixed versions and status.

The diffie_hellman_sha256 function in kex.c in libssh2 before 1.7.0 improperly truncates secrets to 128 or 256 bits, which makes it easier for man-in-the-middle attackers to decrypt or intercept SSH sessions via unspecified vectors, aka a "bits/bytes confusion bug."
