CWE-310  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Ubuntu:12.10 gnutls26 to version 2.12.14-5ubuntu3 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream gnutls26 package and not the gnutls26 package as distributed by Ubuntu. See How to fix? for Ubuntu:12.10 relevant fixed versions and status.

gnutls_cipher.c in libgnutls in GnuTLS before 2.12.17 and 3.x before 3.0.15 does not properly handle data encrypted with a block cipher, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted record, as demonstrated by a crafted GenericBlockCipher structure.
