CWE-310  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Ubuntu:14.04 jansson to version 2.5-2ubuntu0.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream jansson package and not the jansson package as distributed by Ubuntu. See How to fix? for Ubuntu:14.04 relevant fixed versions and status.

Jansson, possibly 2.4 and earlier, does not restrict the ability to trigger hash collisions predictably, which allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a crafted JSON document.
