CWE-190  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Ubuntu:16.04 libarchive to version 3.1.2-11ubuntu0.16.04.2 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libarchive package and not the libarchive package as distributed by Ubuntu. See How to fix? for Ubuntu:16.04 relevant fixed versions and status.

Multiple integer overflows in the (1) get_time_t_max and (2) get_time_t_min functions in archive_read_support_format_mtree.c in libarchive before 3.2.0 allow remote attackers to have unspecified impact via a crafted mtree file, which triggers undefined behavior.
